The Town of Sylvan Lake is located 24 kilometres (15 mi) west of the City of Red Deer along Highway 11 and Highway 20. Alberta’s two most populated urban areas, Edmonton and Calgary, are accessible via Highway 2, which runs north and south and intersects with Highway 11 and 11A at Red Deer.
